Whether you are planning a new forging line, automating an existing press or replacing an existing manipulator, the equipment configuration should be based on your actual product, press, dies, forming process and installation conditions.
We can review your application information first and then discuss the appropriate manipulator configuration and engineering requirements.

Application & Manipulator Selection

We offer 3-station and 4-station manipulators for suitable multi-stage hot forging applications.
The selection depends on:

  • Number and arrangement of forming stations
  • Workpiece dimensions and weight
  • Die arrangement
  • Transfer sequence
  • Workpiece orientation
  • Available installation space

A 3-station configuration may be suitable when the workpiece moves through three forming positions, while a 4-station configuration may be considered for four-position forming processes.
If you are unsure which configuration is suitable, send us your product and process information. We can review the application before the final model is determined.

Press Matching

Our stated press application range covers 125T, 160T, 200T, 250T, 315T, 400T, 630T, 1000T and 3000T, with suitable open-type and closed-type presses.
For an existing press, tonnage alone is not sufficient to determine the equipment configuration. The press type, manufacturer, model, die arrangement, installation space and workpiece transfer path may also affect the solution.
For an existing press, please provide:

  • Press tonnage
  • Press type
  • Manufacturer and model
  • Press photos and nameplate information
  • Die arrangement or production-line drawing, if available

Project Types

New Forging Line

For a new forging line, workpiece transfer should be considered together with the press and forming process during the initial layout stage.
Useful information includes:

  • Product drawing or product photos
  • Forging sequence and number of forming stations
  • Press capacity and type
  • Blank dimensions and workpiece weight
  • Proposed line layout
  • Required workpiece orientation

This allows the manipulator requirements to be considered as part of the overall production arrangement.

Existing Line Automation

If your existing line already has a press, dies and other production equipment but still relies on manual workpiece transfer, the existing equipment can be used as the basis for an automation project.
We can review:

  • Existing press and dies
  • Current workpiece handling method
  • Production-line layout
  • Available installation space
  • Existing automation equipment
  • Product and process information

The goal is to determine what needs to be added or modified without unnecessarily replacing the complete production line.

Manipulator Replacement

If you need to replace an existing manipulator, the current installation can provide important technical reference information.
Please provide, where available:

  • Current manipulator photos
  • Machine nameplate information
  • Installation dimensions
  • Press information
  • Product drawing
  • Die layout
  • Production video

If the press, dies and production process will remain unchanged, these details can help us understand the requirements for the replacement unit.

Engineering Scope

Depending on the application, the engineering scope may include:

  • 3-station or 4-station configuration
  • Press and manipulator matching
  • Workpiece transfer arrangement
  • Workpiece orientation and handling
  • Die and station arrangement
  • Transfer path
  • Installation position and available space
  • Integration with an existing forging line

The final configuration is confirmed after reviewing the product, press, process and installation conditions.

Project Information

For an initial evaluation, the following information is most useful:

  • Product drawing or photos
  • Blank and finished dimensions
  • Approximate workpiece weight
  • Press tonnage and type
  • Press manufacturer and model

  • Number of forming stations
  • Die arrangement
  • Production-line layout
  • Available installation space
  • Current handling method
  • Production-line photos or video

If you are a distributor or engineering company working for an end customer, send us the information you already have. We can identify the remaining technical details that need to be confirmed and discuss the appropriate configuration with you.
